Led by experienced degree-qualified Early Childhood Educators and diploma-qualified staff in small groups, our school readiness activities are seamlessly embedded into the daily routine for preschool-aged children (4–6 years), providing them with the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive in their first year of school.

What’s Included in Our School Readiness Program?

1. Pre-Literacy and Numeracy Development

Children are introduced to key literacy and numeracy skills through engaging, play-based learning. Activities are tailored to develop phonemic awareness, early writing, counting, pattern recognition, and problem-solving – all essential for school success.

2. Social and Emotional Growth

We prioritise emotional intelligence, resilience, and confidence. Our educators guide children through social interactions, help them understand emotions, and support them in building friendships and expressing themselves.

3. Independence and Life Skills

From putting on their shoes to managing lunchboxes, children gain practical self-help skills and confidence in self-care and daily routines. Through activities like Lunch Box Week, where children learn to open items independently, these everyday achievements build a sense of independence that will serve them well in the classroom.

4. Physical Development

Our learning environments and outdoor play spaces are designed to support both fine and gross motor development. Activities like cutting, drawing, climbing, and obstacle courses help children develop physical strength and coordination.

5. School Transition and Local Connections

We collaborate with local primary schools where possible to create positive transition experiences. Through school-themed play, visits (where applicable), and roleplay scenarios, children become familiar with the structure and expectations of the school environment.

Our collaborative team includes qualified Early Childhood Teachers, Diploma-qualified educators, Certificate III educators and trainees who exceed the minimum educator-to-child staffing ratios, providing children with individual attention and meaningful relationships.
