Child Care Subsidy (CCS)
Making Quality Early Learning More Affordable for Your Family
Choosing the right childcare is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your child. The Australian Government’s Child Care Subsidy (CCS) helps make quality early learning more affordable by reducing the amount eligible families pay for childcare.
As an approved Child Care Subsidy provider, First Connections Academy for Kids welcomes families who are eligible for CCS. While we can’t determine your individual entitlement, our friendly team is happy to help you understand the process, explain what’s required and guide you through your enrolment.
Whether you’re returning to work, studying or simply looking to give your child the best possible start to their learning journey, we’re here to help.
What is Child Care Subsidy?
The Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is financial assistance provided by the Australian Government to help eligible families with the cost of approved childcare.
Rather than paying the subsidy directly to families, Services Australia pays it directly to approved childcare providers, reducing the amount you pay out of pocket.
The Child Care Subsidy can be used at approved long day care centres, including First Connections Academy for Kids, making quality early childhood education more accessible for Australian families.
Who is eligible for Child Care Subsidy?
Many Australian families are eligible for Child Care Subsidy.
-
Your family's combined annual income
-

Recognised work, study or approved activities

If you’re unsure whether you’re eligible, our team is happy to point you towards the right government resources.
How much Child Care Subsidy can I receive?
The amount of Child Care Subsidy you receive depends on your individual circumstances.
Services Australia considers several factors, including:
• combined family income
• recognised activity hours
• the type of approved childcare you use
• the number of children in care
• your child’s age.
Because every family is different, we recommend using the official Child Care Subsidy Calculator to estimate your entitlement.
The 3 Day Guarantee
The Australian Government’s 3 Day Guarantee helps make early childhood education more accessible for many families.
Eligible families can receive at least 72 hours of subsidised childcare per fortnight, with some families eligible for additional subsidised hours depending on their circumstances.
If you’re unsure how this applies to your family, our team is happy to help explain the enrolment process and direct you to the latest Government information.
